How is it produced?

Camphor (Camphor) production was first obtained from the Cinnamomun Camphora tree. In this historical production, production is completed by extraction and sublimation methods.

Nowadays, it is produced synthetically from Turpentine Oil. It can be produced in 2 ways: Industrial Grade and Pharmaceutical Grade. High purification is required for Pharmaceutical Grade production.

It is in colorless or white crystalline powder form.

Its odor is strong like naphthalene. It is an aromatic odor.

Its boiling point is 204 ° C. And it sublimes at this temperature.

Its melting point is 180 °C.

In terms of solubility, its solubility in water is very low in practice. It dissolves in ammonia and DMSO.

Its density is 0.99 g/cm³ at 25 °C.
