What is the Rale Chart?
RAL is a European colour matching system that defines colours for paints, coatings and plastics. The RAL colour standard is managed by the RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung. 'RAL' is an abbreviation for 'R eichs- A usschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung' (National Commission for Delivery Conditions and Quality Assurance).
While the classic RAL color chart consisted of 40 colors in 1927, the number of colors on the chart increased to 213 with the revision made in 1961. Classic RAL color codes, defined with four-digit numbers, are written after the word RAL. For example; RAL 5010, RAL 9002, RAL 3004.
RAL color codes are frequently used to define colors in different sectors such as construction, architecture, automotive, and road safety. To see the standard polyester painted sheet colors used by Teknopanel in sandwich panels, please see the sandwich panel paint and color selection page. Sandwich panels in other RAL colors are specially produced according to your project size. Please consult Teknopanel for detailed information.
The colours below are as close as possible to real RAL colours. Colour tones may vary depending on your computer's screen, colour and resolution settings.
